What’s on your grocery list for your gout diet?

When you visit your local grocery store, what’s on your shopping list? Do you add foods that should be part of your gout diet or do you give in and buy the foods you’re not supposed to? Suffering from gout is very serious and you should watch what you put in your cart. My advice to you is to make sure you follow the instructions of this website as well as my ebook and create a checklist every week that disciplines you to buy only foods that are healthy for keeping uric acid levels healthy and flushing out excess uric acid from the body to avoid gout.

Your grocery store checklist should have plenty of fruits and vegetables listed especially cherries, bananas which are high in potassium, pineapple (bromelain), fruits high in vitamin C like oranges and other citrus fruits. Veggies should include dandelion, alfalfa, cayenne pepper, parsley and spices like ginger, basil, cinnamon, turmeric, nutmeg and rosemary. It should also include seeds like flax and celery seeds, vinegar as in apple cider vinegar only and some green tea or chamomile tea.

Add some beans as a meat replacement as well, some low fat dairy like greek yogurt, cheese and milk; add some whole grain bread, whole wheat pasta, whole grain rice and oatmeal. Don’t forget to buy plenty of mineral water to help your system flush out all some excess uric acid. If you don’t like the taste of certain foods then why not take it as a supplement and enjoy the same health benefit although I strongly recommend you eat fresh as much as you can and supplement the rest.

What you don’t want to add in your cart is definitely no organ meats, no alcohol, forget the shellfish as in lobster and shrimp, no processed foods like chips, frozen dinners, processed meats, cookies and other junk, no refined carbs like white pasta, white rice, white bread, no sugar and keep your red meat and chicken to a limit ( I love a good steak as well from time to time). Don’t add any sugary beverages to your cart like cokes, pepsis and even fruit juices like Tropicana! All those sugary beverages are toxic to us gout sufferers!
